Those of us who have enjoyed being on the cutting edge of technology with our iPhone 4s can now get ready to hang our heads in shame: the iPhone 5 is rumored to be released today, reports KTLA.
Tim Cook, who took over for Steve Jobs at Apple, is expected to announce the release of the new phone in a speech today. The UK's Guardian is liveblogging Cook's presentation, with no word yet of when iPhone 5s will hit the states but with the information that they'll be available in the UK starting October 14.
There hasn't been much by way of details released about the new device, but KTLA reports that some suspect it will look more like a MacBook Air, and will have faster and better camera and video technology. Stay tuned!
