KPCC's 2015 Public Radio Bracket Madness is live — vote here for your favorite show
It's time for KPCC's third annual Public Radio Bracket Madness voting, in which you select your favorite public radio show or podcast. And this time, things are a little bit different.
Year one winner "This American Life" returns after being out of the tournament last year to battle against shows including year two winner "Radiolab." For the first time, they'll also have to face giants from the public radio podcast world — such as a certain show that serializes one story, told week by week.
We've also cleared the playing field of the 16 shows that lost in the first round last year, giving new shows a chance to make an impact — you helped us nominate 15 awesome shows that weren't in last year's competition.
But it's really anyone's game, from the 17 veterans in the tournament this year to the newbies, because it's all in your hands!
You can vote in our polls below to push your favorite shows to the top, so we can crown this year's king of public radio.
There are two ways for you to vote:
- Vote on our special Public Radio Bracket Madness page
- Vote in the matchups embedded below
Round one voting is open now and will remain open until 12 p.m. Pacific on Friday (March 20). Here's the schedule for the rest of the bracket (all times are Pacific):
- Top 16: Friday, March 20 at 2 p.m. until Tuesday, March 24 at 12 p.m.
- Top 8: Tuesday, March 24 at 2 p.m. until Friday, March 27 at 12 p.m.
- Final 4: Friday, March 27 at 2 p.m. until Tuesday, March 31 at 12 p.m.
- Championship match: Begins Tuesday, March 31 at 2 p.m.
Note: Times have been updated.
The winner will be announced on Tuesday, April 7 (the day after that other March Madness bracket ends).
