Schwarzenegger endorses candidate in Senate race... in Florida

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, flying back from a trade mission to Russia, lent his endorsement to a high profile Senate candidate. But that candidate is not running in California; it's Florida's Charlie Crist.
Governor Schwarzenegger has yet to announce his support for anyone in California's gubernatorial or Senate races. But he did endorse the independent candidate running for Senate in Florida.
In a tweet, Schwarzenegger said he was backing Florida Governor Charlie Crist's bid for the U.S. Senate, calling him a "great leader" who "works with both parties." Crist lost the Republican primary to Marco Rubio, but re-entered the race as an independent. The two governors have similar views on climate issues and even raised campaign funds for each other.
Rubio's campaign quickly responded to the tweet endorsement, saying "when it comes to inflicting 'Collateral Damage' on the economy, Charlie Crist and Arnold Schwarzenegger are definitely 'Twins.'"
