'Jurassic Park' Actor Accused Of Kidnapping And Raping 13-Year-Old Girl
A 54-year-old actor who had a role in Jurassic Park was arrested this week for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old girl.
Cameron Thor is accused of sexually assaulting the girl (who was 13 at the time) over a span of 11 months from April 2008 to March 2009, according to the L.A. Sheriff's Dept. Special Victims Bureau. The L.A. County District Attorney's Office charged Thor on Wednesday with kidnapping, rape and sexual penetration of a child under 14 years of age.
The girl claims that she asked Thor about taking his acting class that he taught at Carter Thor Studio back in 2008. During one of their consulting sessions, she says he drove her to a secluded area in Agoura Hills and sexually assaulted her. He would allegedly continue to sexually assault her for the next year.
Thor was arraigned at the Van Nuys Courthouse on Thursday, and is being held on $2.6 million bail.
He had a small role in Jurassic Park as Lewis Dogdson, the man who struck a deal with Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight of Seinfeld) to buy dinosaur embryos. Thor also had roles in A Few Good Men and Hook.
