Hahn Takes Aim at Newsom

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom hasn't even announced his rumored candidacy for Lt. Governor, but candidate and Los Angeles City Councilmember Janice Hahn isn't taking any chances. Today her campaign released a cute attack video, complete with sly editing, showing Newsom, as late as last week, admitting that he doesn't know what that crazy position is all about.

“What does the lieutenant governor do? For the life of me, I don’t know," he's seen telling Movin 99.7 FM in a December interview. Will he run? "No!!" he exclaims.

Hahn, whose campaign humorously "gives full permission to any entity to run the video, or any portion of it, as many times as it would like," says she knows what the L-T does. In fact she has a page on her website dedicated to the job description.

If Newsom does, in fact, run, this surely will surely be a fun campaign season.
