Good Grove/Bad Grove: Summer Concert Series
We're never ones to turn down free stuff, and free stuff that's viewable from a passing trolley is even better. So today, we salute the Grove's summer concert series, which has been offering free shows every Wednesday this month. We're really sorry we missed out on Jada Pinkett Smith and Wicked Wisdom, whatever that is, but there's still time to catch the final show of the season tomorrow night. Music in malls stirs up fond memories of Tiffany from our younger days. Ah, Tiffany...Okay, so the Grove may not have booked J-Lo, who's kind of like the Tiffany of today, but they do have K-Lo and L-Lo. That's "American Idol" Kimberly Locke and Reality Bites soundtrack songstress Lisa Loeb to you. They'll be performing live this Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
We'll be there, parking our keisters by the fountain with bellies full of Wood Ranch, enjoying the show and scanning the crowd for Clay Aiken and Ethan Hawke. Even if these aren't your favorite artists (c'mon, do you really expect them to get Chingy for this?), you have to admit live outdoor music (did we mention it's free?!) is definitely part of the Good Grove.
