'Top Chef' Alex Reznik Pops Up at One Eyed Gypsy Tomorrow

Tomorrow night, Downtown L.A.'s One Eyed Gypsy will get a little taste of "Top Chef." Season 7's Alex Reznik will be popping up for Local's Night, which is basically a discounted eventing for anyone living in the neighborhood. He'll be there every Tuesday and Sunday for the month of May, using the interior of the Gypsy and its ghost Carnival theme as inspiration.
Since appearing on the Bravo reality show, Reznik has done stints at La Siene, This is Not a Pop-Upand opened up Fig Oly, which is also in Downtown L.A.
From the looks of things, the Brooklyn-born chef won't be bringing the pea puree he became so popular for stealing from fellow competitor Ed Cotton on the Bravo show, but he does have a very unique and playful menu planned. There are things like M & M made from mussels and marrow, and a CLT that will use lamb tongue bacon and challah bread instead of bacon, lettuce and tomato.
Here's the full list of what he's got planned:
Lamb Tongue 'CLT', made with challah bread
Banh Mi Style Bacon Niblets on the Bone
Whole Fried Chicken
Kale Salad with 'Funky Stuff'
Chicken Fried Oysters M & Ms
Rabbit Tail (pasta with rabbit and oxtail ragu)
Pickles
In addition to all the eats, locals who show their IDs will get $2 of specialty cocktails and $1 off beers. There'll also be burlesque performances, live music, and a tap takeover by Karl Strauss Brewery.
