Whether you're looking to spend that sweet tax refund from Uncle Sam or need a place to drink or eat away your sorrows on the cheap, we tracked down some of the best Tax Day deals and discounts for April 18. From $1 cocktails and oysters to all night happy hours, here are plenty of ways to spend what's left of your hard earned money on Monday.

66 Cent Cocktails at La Dolce Vita Travel back in time at this classic Italian favorite, loved by everyone from the Rat Pack to U.S. presidents, where this Tax Day they'll be offering two 66¢ cocktails as a nod to the year they opened, 1966. Toast to the bygone days—when your wallet was fatter—with either a martini or old fashioned (or both!) when you order any food item. Even better, the deal will continue every week as a Throwback Thursday special until the end of the year. They also offer great deals during their regular happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, and on Tuesday nights from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. you can enjoy their late night happy hour along with live jazz.

$1 Cocktails with 1933 Group

The 1933 Group bars are once again doing their $1 cocktails, available between between 5 and 7 p.m.
Harlowe (7321 Santa Monica Blvd.), Oldfield's Liquor Room (10899 Venice Blvd.), Sassafras (1233 N. Vine), Bigfoot Lodge (3172 Los Feliz Blvd.), Bigfoot West (10939 Venice Blvd.) and the Thirsty Crow all have $1 Old Fashioneds, while La Cuevita (5922 N. $1 Oysters at Herringbone

Indulge in a decadent feast of oysters while saving your hard earned clams at chef Brian Malarkey’s Santa Monica seafood spot Herringbone. From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday (and every weekday), oysters are just a buck per shuck, plus you can grab other deals on bites like $3 chicken "wangs" (Buffalo or truffle soy ginger style), as well as wine and champagne for $6. They also offer $5 draft beers and cocktails for around $7 to $8.

$1 PBRs at Dog Haus

There's nothing like a $1 blue ribbon-winning beer to sooth the pains of a rough Tax Day or, alternatively, to help you blow your refund by buying beers for the whole bar. PBRs for one buck will be available all day at Dog Haus' two Pasadena locations, as well as in Burbank and Long Beach. Plus you can chow down on one of their tasty haus dogs, sausages, burgers or tater tots while you drink.

Extended Happy Hour at Hey 19 Public House

On Monday night, this laid-back Torrance gastropub extends their usual happy hour all night long. From 3 p.m. to close you can score $2 off all well drinks, house wines, and house cocktails, plus enjoy half-priced appetizers like bacon-wrapped tater tots, mac and cheese and tuna tartare.

All Night Happy Hour at Sausal

This relatively new destination in El Segundo offers delicious takes on Alta California cuisine and for Tax Day they're hosting an all night happy hour. From 3 p.m. to close you can get $2 off selected beers and margaritas, tacos for $3.50, and $6 bites which include their unbelievably tasty oxtail picadillo empanadas, as well as their bean, bacon, chili and cheese dip with house chips.

Burger For A Song at Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood

If you're feeling particularly inspired by your tax refund or emboldened by some of the other drink discounts around town, you can head to the Hard Rock Cafe to song on the cafe stage in front of the entire restaurant. For your efforts—regardless of pitch accuracy—you'll receive receive a free Legendary Burger and fries. The Angus beef patty is served on a brioche bun and features smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, a fried onion ring, lettuce and tomato.

Extended Happy Hour at Public School

All of the locations of this academically-themed gastropub will be offering an extended version of their usual Recess happy hour, which includes their outposts in Culver City, Sherman Oaks, Thousand Oaks and Downtown. Run free with deals on drinks like $5 well drinks, $5 and $6 craft beers or a $10 half liter of wine. You can also get discounts on bites like $4 truffle fries, $5 buffalo cauliflower or $6 wings. Check individual locations for hours, addresses and specials.

Margaritas For Ballers And Budgeters at Taste On Melrose

Whether you scored with a big refund or owed a bit this year, Taste On Melrose has you covered. For those living high on the hog, you can make a splash with the “Lucky Line 75” margarita, which features Casa Azul Tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, simple syrup and volcanic salt for $30. Or for a tighter budget you can get the less expensive, but still restorative “Dreaded Line 78” margarita for $8, which includes El Jimador Tequila, lime juice, and agave syrup.

18 Cent Martinis at The Whisper Restaurant & Lounge

Head to this slick, speakeasy-inspired spot at The Grove to score 18 cent Martinis all day until 11:30 p.m. And if you manage to swing by between 3 and 6 p.m., you can also make the most of your cash by ordering from their happy hour menu, which features $5 beers, $7 well drinks and select wines, as well as specially priced apps like tuna tartare, truffle fries and filet mignon skewers. Just try not to spend the rest of your money wandering through The Grove after you've put back a few of those 18 cent martinis.
