High-profile, pricey dining events are fun and all, but most of us would rather spend our dining dollars on an event that supports a great cause. If you're one of those people, you're in luck this weekend, because Savor The Season is one of those worth-it events. Not only does it feature a catered spread from some of L.A.'s best restaurants, but proceeds from the event are going to Break The Cycle, an organization that empowers young people to educate themselves and the community about domestic violence.

The event is taking place on Sunday, September 21st at the former cathedral Vibiana, and will run from 6pm to 9pm. Chef Andre Guerrero of Max and The Oinkster will be presiding over a roster of culinary talent that includes Gerard Ochoa of El Cholo, Nano Crespo of Tasca Wine Bar, and Bijan Shokatfard of Geoffrey's, among many others. Drink delights will be provided by Simi Winery, The Edison, Singha Beer, Tommy Bahama Rum, and Voss Water for you tee-totalers.

Tickets are going for $100, but for $250 you'll get special gifts like a complimentary cookbook, and you'll also gain access to the VIP Tasting Garden, where LAist faves like Andrew Steiner of Andrew's Cheese Shop and Christina Perozzi of The Beer Chick fame will be putting on a tasting extravaganza. There will also be music, entertainment, and a silent and live auction. Check out the Savor the Season website for more information and to purchase tickets.
