Gordon Ramsay's New Restaurant Opens Today at The Grove

Gordon Ramsay officially opens his new restaurant at the Grove today, offering up fancy-fied comfort food, craft brewsand cocktails, and our favorite bit -- an ice cream bar.
The look of the restaurant itself is very on trend, with the ever-so-popular combo of exposed brick, Edison bulbs, large communal tables, and reclaimed wood design elements.
As for food, Ramsay and his team will be pushing out dishes with produce sourced from the Farmers Market next door, as well as other local purveyors. The menu also plays on L.A. restauranteur's current obsession with gastropub fare: pizzas, burgers, meatballs, and lobster mac and cheese are all highlights pointed out by Ramsay's team.
The Moo Bar, which is located at the front of the shop, will serve icy twists on retro classics: soft-serve ice-cream and ice-cream sandwiches made with fresh house-baked cookies, hand-crafted froyo, made-to-order milkshakes, and various pastries. In the coming weeks, it will expand to include grab-and-go selections. It will be tough to compete with the nearby Short Cake's bakery in this department, but the addition of the milk bar is a smart one, especially considering the Fat Cow will be open til 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, catering to the late-night movie crowd and impending holiday shoppers.
