DTLA Gets a New Sunday Farmers' Market, Opens July 8
Downtowners who missed out on nabbing fresh veggies elsewhere during the week and who want to stay in their 'hood to shop will have one new, fresh, option come Sunday. A new weekly farmers' market is launching on July 8.
"The market will take over a block of Fifth Street, between Spring Street and Broadway, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.," according to Los Angeles Downtown News. To accommodate the Historic Core Farmers' Market, Fifth Street will be shut down from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
So far, there are 21 vendors set to operate at the market, and all will be able to accept EBT cards for payment.
What's your favorite farmers' market in L.A.? You can vote this summer in a contest run by American Farmland Trust. Also, check out a few of our favorites in our Know Your Farmers' Market Series.
