Relax, Those Fighter Jets Over Downtown Were Just Prepping For A July 4th Flyover
Take a deep breath, war isn't breaking out in Los Angeles (yet). It turns out that the two fighter jets that mysteriously flew over downtown on Thursday afternoon were merely doing a practice run for July 4th, according to a tweet from the L.A. Times:
Two fighter jets flying over L.A. were practicing for 4th of July flyover at Dodger Stadium, the CA National Guard confirmed. Story to come.

"They were California National guard jets and they were practicing for a July 4th flyover," California National Guard public affairs supervisor Lauren Hall confirmed to LAist.
In case you missed it, the fighter jets flew over downtown at about 2:30 p.m., leaving many Angelenos scared and confused:

According to the OC Breeze, two California Air National Guard F-15C fighter aircrafts will do a flyover at Dodger Stadium on July 4 during pre-game ceremonies for the Dodgers—Arizona Diamondbacks game.
