Pedal Power: Your Guide to Biking Carmageddon II

Carmageddon II is almost here, and Los Angelenos know the drill: avoid the freeways and opt for some relaxing activities at or near home, like perusing the the host of weekend deals around the city. Beginning at about midnight on Friday, the 405 Freeway will be closed in both directions, from the 10 to the 101 on the northbound side and from the 101 to Getty Center Drive heading southbound. The freeway is expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
