What in the World Was That?

O Dodgers how you break my heart sometimes. I was only kidding at the beginning of the year when I expected you to go 162-0. I only expect you to win around 92 games this season which is just over 56% of the games, but when you get a horrible team like the Washington Nationals you should be able to sweep them easily. You don’t lose to them 11-4.

Let’s face it. The Mark Hendrickson era should be over. In his last four starts he has given up 20 runs (18 of them earned) and 34 hits with an ERA of 8.57. He started out the season nicely enough, but the shimmer has long since worn off. He should go back to the bullpen where he belongs then perhaps see that psychologist he saw during the off-season.

But that still leaves quite a problem with pitching. Do you bring up Hong-Chi Kuo or DJ Houlton to pitch on Saturday in what was Brett Tomko's spot? And if you do that do you demote Andy LaRoche or Tony Abreu? Or do you pitch Prozac and Tubby on three days rest this weekend so you can bring up Jason "SF Trash" Schmidt on Monday? I think this is the first time you have a little pitching situation on your hands Dodgers.

I say bring up either Kuo or Houlton and put Yhency Brazoban on the DL. After all he did injure his shoulder in Thursday's game, and since he's had more surgeries on his arm than Phyllis Diller has had on her mug it's probably the best thing to do for his health. If you don't want to go that far, then send LaRoche down so he can work on his hitting.

In the end I don't know what you'll end up doing. But make sure you win three out four in Pittsburgh because after that series you have a heady three games against the Padres. Right now you are tied for first with the Padres and the D-Backs, so it's important you get as much cushioning as possible for the worst-case scenario. And given your recent difficulties against the Padres, you need as much cushioning you can get.

By the way Dodgers, what is your take on Kobe Bryant? And how hard are you trying to lobby My Boyfriend being an All Star starter?
