Video: Ellen Invites Oscars' Pizza Guy On Her Show To Give Him His Tip

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

One of the highlights of the Oscars on Sunday was when host Ellen DeGeneres brought out an unsuspecting delivery guy from Big Mama's and Papa's pizzeria out on stage. She wouldn't leave the dude without a hefty tip though! Ellen showered him with dough (pun intended) on national TV on Monday.

Edgar Martirosyan, who owns the Hollywood location chain and has since received a ton of press, described the experience to Ellen on her show:

"They told me I was just going to deliver for writers," he said. "They just told me to wait here and you came out and you said 'I'm going nowhere, just follow me.' I say, 'Where are we going?' and you say, 'Just follow me,' and I'm going and then I'm on a stage."

On Ellen, she brought out our favorite Pharrell mountie hat and handed him the $600 that she collected from stars for the pizza on Oscars night. In addition, she gave him extra cash out of her pocket to round it out to $1,000. (He told the N.Y. Daily News he planned on splitting the tip with his staff.)

To end the show, she brought out pizza for all her audience members. It's like the Oscars all over again!
