New programming is starting to become thin as we head into the holidays so you have to grab what you can. Highlights for us tonight include "Men of a Certain Age" which will have Patrick Gallagher (was Ken Tanaka in "Glee") who will begin a multi-episode arc starting off with this excellent episode. We're also confident that Colin Quinn will be very funny on Fallon later tonight - we wonder if they'll keep Jessica Alba on set while Quinn is there because you an be sure that will be amusing.
What can be said about last night's season finale of "Dexter"? We won't be spoiling anything by saying that what happened was necessary and equilibrium has been re-established. New questions have arisen, however, about the people immediately around Dexter. Some people have trashed this season of the show but after the death of a major character like Rita at the end of last season, you would have to expect an entire season's worth of regaining some kind of equilibrium.
Stuff we've been screening lately: Showtime's "Episodes" and "Californication"; IFC's "Portlandia" and "The Onion News Network." We'll have more in-depth reviews as these series begin to launch in January. There's an outstanding show or two between these 4 alone.

Did anybody watch "SNL"? What'd you think of the Pauls? We're pretty excited about seeing Jeff Bridges host this coming weekend. Eminem is the musical guest.
Our Channel Zero podcast is up at iTunes now, even though it's only showing one episode, if you subscribe, the 2nd episode will download. iTunes is being slow at updating the feed data. We're still working on the format, we'll keep doing it weekly until the new year when we should have all the kinks out - until then you can say you were listening way back when we didn't have our act together. I'd love to get some suggestions from you here about what you'd like in a podcast.
