• Caribou (formerly known as Manitoba) performs tonight at Spaceland with Junior Boy, Brad Lainer and Christopher Willits and the Russian Futurists.
• The El Rey hosts The Dears, Marjorie Fair and The Shout Out Louds tonight at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $15.50.
• RES Magazine hosts it's monthly screening tonight, featuring new videos for the Basement Jaxx, Quasimoto, Aesop Rock and Amon Tobin, plus the West Coast premiere of Chris Cunningham's new short film, Rubber Johnny. The screening begins at 8 PM; tickets at $10.
• The Grindhouse Film Festival returns to the New Beverly Cinema tonight, featuring screenings of Maniac Cop 2 (starring Robert Davi—Jake Fratelli in The Goonies—and Bruce Campell!) and Vigilante, with special guest appearances by director Bill Lustig and Robert Forster (star of Vigilante). The night kicks off at 7:30 PM and tickets are $7.
