Tonight in Rock: The Kooks in Westwood & Summer Fests

This story is free to read because readers choose to support LAist. If you find value in independent local reporting, make a donation to power our newsroom today.

More music festivals are lining up the summer. Yesterday, the new Sunset Strip Music Festival and Sunset Junction were brought up. Today, let's talk Make Music Pasadena: A Fête De La Muique Event on Saturday, June 21st. The festival is free with headliners split between four stages: The Raveonettes, Dengue Fever, Kinky, The Little Ones, Nortec Collective, Jesca Hoop, Division Day and Everest.

Also, this weekend is Topanga Days featuring Living Sisters (Inara George, Eleni Mandell, Becky Stark) on Saturday, Jonathan Rice on Sunday (will Jenny Lewis show up to sing backup for him?) and Everest on Monday.

In other news, after a sold out show last night and before a Jimmy Kimmel performance tomorrow. The Kooks are playing somewhere on a sidewalk today in Los Angeles (Westwood Village/UCLA area is the only clue they are giving away now, but we highly recommend checking LAist at 3:30 p.m. on the dot). Also, they are playing the Kibitz Room tonight (first come, first serve... Good luck, it's a small space!).
