Tonight in Rock in LA - Oreskaband, Pistol Valve: Japan Nite
Be thankful that yesterday was St. Paddy's day and that tonight is Sunday. That one-two punch has made this evening a less-than-desirable night for big name acts to want to grace our fair city with a rock show.
And it makes for the day-after-the-Green to be the perfect night for Japan Nite at the Knitting Factory where you will see the all-girl high school ska band Oreskaband (who we were lucky enough to see and interview at SXSW two days ago) with hyperactive Ramones-meets-Chuck Berry stylings of The 50Kaitenz, the 10 piece all-girl brass band Pistol Valve, and several others.
Yes we know you're tired and hung over and pooped. We are too because we just raged for 9 days in Austin, but we're going to get off of our aging asses and get to the show because rock is going to be laid down on Hollywood Blvd. and we should be thankful.
