Gregory Isaacs

Our Pick: Toots and Maytals, Michael Rose, Gregory Isaacs @ Hollywood Bowl

Tonight LA-by-way-of-Michigan retro soul singer-songwriter Mayer Hawthorne will be DJing at Amoeba Music for this week's edition of Stones Throw Sundays. LAist favorites Warpaint (LAist Review, #2, #3) are poised to grace Spaceland with former Bat For Lashes multi-instrumentalist Caroline Weeks. And, lastly, Santa Rosa-based indie rockers the New Trust, which features former Velvet Teen bassist, will be taking on Alex's Bar in Long Beach. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Hollywood Bowl to catch prolific Kingston-based reggae legend Gregory Isaacs.

You can find these listings as well as the rest of the week's in our weekly Week In Rock post, which goes up every Sunday.
