Some jerk hit Adam Levine in face with a bunch of sugar yesterday.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine was signing autographs for fans outside of Jimmy Kimmel Live! when a man threw a bag of powder sugar at his face, L.A. Times reports. The sugar went everywhere, including in Levine's ear, according to witnesses.

Levine had been a guest on Kimmel's show and was on his way out when the attack occurred. He was not hurt. The culprit was identified as 28-year-old Navid Farsi, who was tackled by security and then arrested on suspicion of battery.

Witness Laura Tijerina told CNN that Levine was not happy. "It looked like he wanted to fight the guy," she said.

No word on whether Farsi was inspired by the fact Maroon 5's recent hit is called "Sugar."
