Rashida Jones Says John Travolta is Gay, Promptly Apologizes

At this point, it might be safe to say that we all have our questions about John Travolta's sexuality. Is he gay? In the closet? Or is there just an underground club of ill-intentioned masseuses determined to take him down by whatever means necessary?

Well, at least one person isn't buying into the masseuse club conspiracy theory, and that's Rashida Jones. During an interview with Spinning Platters to promote her new movie, "Celeste and Jesse Forever," the actress/writer said that more big stars need to come out of the closet, and that Travolta would be a good person to start the trend.

"A movie star [needs to come out]," she said. "Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let’s do this."

No word from the Travolta camp in response, but today, Jones posted an apology on Twitter:
