The Daniel Rosenboom Septet, brainchild of composer and trumpet artist Daniel Rosenboom, will be jazzing it up at ROYAL/T tonight. If you're down for saxophone, progressive jazz and good vibes, this could be just the thing. General admission is $10, lucky students get in for $5. Show starts at 8:00 p.m.
MUSICAL DISCOURSE
Tom Morello -- guitarist for Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave and The Nightwatchman among others -- will be talking political action and social justice with Sam Durant tonight at the Hammer Museum. Morello's Axis of Justice organization will be discussed as a way to bring together musicians, music fans and grassroots cultural shifts. The free tickets are required from the Billy Wilder Theater Box Office an hour before start time. The talk kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
WINE TASTING
Taste the wines of local vintners from Malibu tonight at Pourtal in Santa Monica. From Rosenthal Estate Wines to Hoyt Family Vineyards, you'll taste wines from each local winery in attendance. Tasting fee is $15 and the in vino veritas goodness starts at 7:00 p.m.
BOOK SIGNING
Claire Dederer will sign her book Poser: My Life in Twenty-Three Yoga Poses this evening at Book Soup. Not into yoga? It's ok. The book is just as much about life (if not more) than about yoga. Reading starts at 7:00 p.m. You might even be able to convince her to break out a yoga pose.
