'Not A Hipster' Mayor Garcetti Sells Silver Lake Pad To M83 Frontman

Mayor Eric Garcetti may have argued that he's "definitely not a hipster," but we've seen him sport an ironic mustache, bike to work and tweet about it, and now sell his Silver Lake pad to M83 frontman Anthony Gonzalez.

Garcetti and his wife Amy Wakeland originally put their 4,000-square-foot home up for lease in April for $8,500 a month, but it looks like Gonzalez saw the appeal of owning this baller place, according to the L.A. Times. (You can check out the house in all its glory here.)

The six-bedroom, five-bathroom house that was built in 2010 is a classy joint that overlooks the Silver Lake Reservoir. The couple moved out last November to move into some bigger digs: the 8,076-square-foot Getty House in Windsor Square.

We have to admit our Mayor has style, as his Echo Park home was featured in Dwell in 2008. No word yet on how much Gonzalez spent on the Silver Lake pad, but we think he made a good choice.

We've seen Garcetti jam on the keyboards on stage with Moby before, so we're crossing our fingers that he does a collaboration with M83 one day.
