Mexico Is Pissed Miley Cyrus Got Spanked With The Mexican Flag
Miley Cyrus, who seems like she's perennially trying to shock everyone, actually pissed off the Mexican government in one of her latest antics. At a concert in Mexico on Tuesday, while celebrating the country's independence day, the pop star had her huge, prosthetic butt she was wearing whipped by the Mexican flag during a twerk-fest.
Well, we've already seen her get raunchy with a foam finger at last year's MTV VMAs and her running around in pasties, so this seems par for the course. However, she could be getting in trouble for this one.
Mexico has a law that protects their national emblems including their flag—and disrespecting it is a major no-no. She or her crew could get fined around $1,200 or be detained for 36 hours in accordance with their law regarding their flag, according to Reuters. The Nuevo Leon state legislature has approved a warrant to get their Interior Ministry to take actions in accordance with their law.
This isn't the first time where a celeb has gotten into trouble using the Mexican flag. A Mexican pop star, Paulina Rubio, was slapped with a $4,000 fine after she showed up in a magazine photo naked and wrapped in a Mexican flag.
