There's always something about a Star Wars movie that makes the fanboys and fangirls get riled up. They get dressed up, wait in line in the cold for days, and hit new romantic milestones in their lives.

Last year, two fans got married in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on opening night of The Force Awakens. It was an epic event befitting the film. This year at the Chinese Theatre there was less of a grand celebration—fitting, as this year's Rogue One is considered a one-off side story as opposed to one of the major "episodes" of the saga. But hey, there was at least a marriage proposal inside the IMAX theater!

Groom-to-be Shaun Colquhoun proposed to his girlfriend Genevieve Hartney in front of hundreds of fans there before the first screening of Rogue One on Thursday evening. He got an assist from the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader, who presented the ring inside of a Death Star-styled ring box. "I got to propose at the premiere of Rogue One I can't even express how amazing this feels," said Colquhoun. "I'm one of the biggest Star Wars nerds ever and i'm super excited."

For the occasion Colquhoun was dressed as Han Solo, while Hartney simply wore a Princess Leia T-shirt that read "I love you." We assume her soon-to-be hubby has the matching "I know" shirt in the closet.

Colquhoun and Hartney weren't the only Star Wars geeks who got engaged last night. Josh Roland tricked his girlfriend into thinking the two of them had a private screening of Rogue One, only to play a short film he made to propose to her:

And two jawas got engaged at a theater in Vermont:

May the Force be with all the happily engaged couples! We hope you liked the movie (I thought it was OK).
