'Glee' Actor Mark Salling Arrested For Child Pornography

Actor Mark Salling, best known as one of the main characters from Glee, has been busted for child porn.On Tuesday morning, officers with the LAPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit served a search warrant on a home in Sunland that belonged to Salling, according to Crime Watch Daily. LAPD officer Liliana Preciado confirmed to US Weekly that Salling was arrested for possession of child pornography. TMZ reports that "hundreds" of images were found on his home computer.
On Glee, Salling played Noah "Puck" Puckerman.
In 2013, Salling settled with his ex-girlfriend for $2.7 million after she sued him for sexual battery. She claimed Salling forced her to have unprotected sex with him and in a confrontation a few days later, she was injured by him.
Updated 4:55 p.m.: TMZ reports law enforcement officials "have already seen more than a thousand images of 'child sexual exploitation'" on Salling's computer, and that the images found were of children "significantly younger than 15 and 16 year olds." Police have also seized tablets and cellphones.
"His arrest did not come about as part of an online sting," LAPD Lt. Andrea Grossman told the Daily News. "Salling’s arrest came about through a tip from a confidential informant." Crime Watch Daily writes that the police would not confirm the identity of the informant, but did say that it's not the woman involved in Salling's previous sexual battery case from 2013, following speculation that the tip was part of a "revenge plot."
According to the Sheriff's Departmentrecords, Salling was released at 2:26 p.m. after posting $20,000 in bail. He's due in court on January 22.
