Live Blogging Alert: LAist at the MTV Movie Awards

We've suckered another organization to take us seriously and now MTV has not only credentialed LAist on the red carpet during Sunday's Movie Awards up in Universal City, but they have set up a one-of-a-kind Live Blogging Tent for a hand-selected group of folk like us.
The key word is live. This is the first year MTV is broadcasting this awards show live, which is one reason there will be just two musical acts. But the thing keeping everyone on the edge of their corporate seats is the fact that our girlfriend Sarah Silverman will be the host. Although she can certainly be edgy she's not really a potty-mouth on broadcast tv as evident of her many appearances on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
However she still doesn't think this will end well.
"The truth is, I'll probably be swearing a lot," Silverman says, acknowledging that she will have to tone her act down. "But I don't think it will be any less funny. It will be fun to flirt with the conventions of live television. "There's no way it's going to go totally smoothly, and I know, as a viewer, I'm always watching for the evidence of the 'liveness.' "
The man responsible for taking the show live and hiring Silverman is producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice). "The person responsible for the seven-second delay is the person with the hardest job," he kids. - USA Today
