Is the Hollywood Bowl Restroom the BEST In America?
Angelenos, now is not the time to flush your vote down the crapper. Have your say, and consider helping Los Angeles' top toilets in town be named the Best Restroom in America. Representing the City of Angels in the Top 10 Finalists for this very exciting 2012 contest: The bathroom at the Hollywood Bowl.
If you haven't taken a leak (or whatever you business may be) in the historic ampitheater's can in a while, you might be thinking of the dark, damp, dreary bathrooms that served the 18,000-seat music venue, largely unchanged, for 30 years. Thanks to a recent remodel, the Bowl bathroom now evokes the architecture and design elements of the Bowl itself, as well as the green shades of the Toyon, a native plant that has also joined the new flora outside City Hall, and grows at the Bowl.
Other modern improvements include a red/green light system in the stalls so you can see which toilets are vacant.
Sounds like they've created a true Toilet Bowl! (Come on, you knew it was coming.)
If you are passionate about bathrooms, you can have your say by casting an online vote. Other cities with cans in the running include Washington DC, Chicago, New York, and San Francisco.
