Invite of the Week - Cool Art, Free Booze, Free Valet

Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

We get a lot of announcements in our email box throughout the week. A lot of press releases, tips, and nudes from the ladies. Thank you.

But the other day we got a very interesting one from Scion announcing an art exhibit curated by one of our favorite magazines, Swindle. Maybe you've seen the really well-done hardbound (and recently also in paperback), colorful books, basically, that Shepard Fairey puts out when you least expect it. It's an art magazine (Fairey interviewed the elusive Banksy in issue 8), it's an underground book, whatever it is Swindle is never boring so to hear that they are curating an art show featuring work by Ben Bertucci, Will Boone, Sayre Gomez, Patrick Griffin, Joshua Grotto, KC, and Jordan Nickel - it is enticing to say the least.

So when we got an invite claiming free booze we were all, hmmm. But then when we read free valet we were all, now you've pressed the perfect LA hotbutton. Lets just hope they park my Sentra better than in the scene above.
