Photos: Dude Pranks Grocery Store With Ridiculous Shopping Tips

Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your tax-deductible financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

Sometimes it's refreshing to see something other than boring sale prices posted on the racks at grocery stores—say, like funny shopping tips that teach you bad pickup lines and how to be more "metal."

Jeff Wysaski, a humor blogger for his websites Obvious Plant and, tells LAist that he recently put up these signs at a Vons in East Los Angeles.

"I put up a lot of these public pranks/jokes," Wysaski says. "My goal is just to place humor in unexpected places for strangers to discover and enjoy."

The last prank we saw of Wysaski's was earlier this year when he planted fake self-help book jacket covers over existing books at a West Hollywood bookstore.
