EVENT: It's that time of year again; head to the Los Angeles County Fair to sample odd, fried foods, ride the Zipper, catch a music show, or check out the farm animals in the barn yard. Today's fair schedule includes performances by Grand Funk Railroad and Burton Cummings, pig races, and various circus acts from around the world. For more information visit the fair's website.

MUSIC: The second and final day of FYF Fest goes down today in downtown's LA Historic State Park, and the lineup includes well-known indie-rock bands Beirut and The Faint. General admission tickets are $60 for one day, and the box office will be open from 11 am until 10:30 pm today. The Metro trains nearby will run until 2 am to help visitors get home after the shows. For more information, visit the event's website.

EAT: The Long Beach Greek Festival continues today, running from noon until 9pm. Visit the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church grounds for live Greek dancing and music shows, as well as cooking demonstrations. Of course your highest priority will be to try the incredible, homemade Greek entrees and desserts that will be for sale. The Greek Festival & Cultural Event are located at 5761 East Colorado Street in Long Beach.
