Frank Ocean's Next Album Will Finally Come Out On Friday

Frank Ocean fans who got really annoyed with him today can finally stop their griping. Boys Don't Cry, the R&B singer's long-awaited second album, is set for release this Friday.Of course, it'll be an Apple Music exclusive for two weeks after launch, reports the New York Times, because that's the reality we live in now. (Beyoncé's Lemonade and Kanye West's The Life of Pablo both received Tidal-exclusive releases but ultimately found their way to other services/retailers.)
Aside from streaming the album on Apple Music, the Times reports that the Boys Don't Cry release will also include a "major video" and a printed publication of sorts that will be available at Apple stores.
Boys Don't Cry comes four years after channel ORANGE, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. Ocean fueled speculation about the new album earlier today when he released a live-streaming video on the site boysdontcry.co that showed... practically nothing.
Needless to say, we're excited. Here he is performing "Pyramids" on SNL:
