Hey Film Nerds, The Criterion Collection Is Having A 50% Off Flash Sale

In news sure to delight American Spirit Blue-puffing film students across the land, the Criterion Collection is currently holding a blink-and-you'll-miss-it flash sale on its website—all in-stock Blu-Rays and DVDs are 50% off until Wednesday, October 18 at 9 a.m. PST (or noon EDT).
New Criterion Collection releases like David Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and Orson Welles' Othello are going fast, and according to their website, they're already running low on reserves of Hitchcock. (Shocking.) If you're hesitant to jump into the flash-sale fray, you can use your Los Angeles library card to stream the Criterion Collection online, but how is anyone going to know you're a certified film aficionado if you don't have an Akira Kurosawa box set perched on the upside-down milk crate you use as a bedside table?
