Rick Calamaro, a onetime assistant to actor Charlie Sheen, was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment this weekend, and police suspect the man had been dead for a few days.Additionally, authorities found what TMZ describes as "a pharmacy full of drugs," at the scene, specifically "numerous pain medications," and also "an open bottle of alcohol."

Calamaro is thought to have been the person responsible for Sheen's drug binge last year. Celebuzz elaborates:

"Calamaro, a former Hollywood club promoter, was reportedly present during Sheen’s notorious 36-hour party in 2011, leading many to suggest that he was a bad influence on the addiction-prone actor."

Calamaro was often also considered Sheen's best friend, and possible drug supplier.Word of Calamaro's death spread on Twitter this morning, but no word yet from Sheen.
