Caitlyn Jenner Might Face Manslaughter Charges For The Deadly Malibu Crash
Caitlyn Jenner might face a manslaughter charge for her role in a February crash on PCH that resulted in the death of a woman.
The lead detective in the case told ABC 7 that the case will be submitted next week with the recommendation that Jenner be hit with a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge. According to the L.A. Times, investigators say they believe Jenner was not driving above the speed limit, but at a speed unsafe for the conditions that day.
It will still be up to the district attorney to file charges.
Previously, Jenner was under scrutiny for possibly texting before the crash, but her lawyer contends she was not using her cell phone while driving. Investigators say no one was using the phones at the time of the crash.

The crash began when a Prius stalled in the northbound lanes of PCH and a Lexus, driven by 69-year-old Kimberly Howe, rear ended the Prius. Jenner, who was driving a Cadillac Escalade and towing a trailer, then rear-ended Howe's Lexus, sending it into the southbound lanes where it was hit head-on by an oncoming Hummer. Howe was killed in the crash.
Jenner says she was being followed by paparazzi at the time of the crash but was not "evading" them.
She faces two lawsuits in the crash, a wrongful death suit from Howe's stepchildren, and an injury claim from the Prius driver. The report did not say whether or not other drivers in the crash could potentially face any charges.
