Ariel Winter's Mom Was Hated by 'Modern Family' Crew
Apparently things on the set of "Modern Family" aren't always as much fun as they appear to be on the show -- TMZ reports that Ariel Winter's mother, from whose care the actress was removed last month, was a terror on the set. Chrystal Workman allegedly jumped down Winter's throat constantly, insulting her physical appearance and not allowing her to eat food other than egg whites and vegetables.
The gossip site reports that Workman was hated by the "Modern Family" crew, and that those who worked with Winter were relieved that the young actress was removed from her mother's care.
TMZ adds that Workman also spoke up repeatedly about how much Winter got paid, saying that they needed more money for their house and lifestyle.
Winter has been living with her older sister, Shanelle Gray, since October 3. She was taken away from Workman after a judge found that Winter's complaints of physical and verbal abuse were serious enough to warrant revoking her guardianship for the time being.
