The hugely popular bondage erotica book "Fifty Shades of Grey" seems like a natural candidate for a porn parody. Surely the author knew that when she wrote it, right?

Well, perhaps not. Despite its obvious ease of transition into the adult world, the makers of an XXX version of the tome are now being sued by Universal City Studios, who own the movie rights to the book, and Fifty Shades Ltd., which owns the copyright to the book, for putting out the obvious: "Fifty Shades of Grey: a XXX Adaptation."

The Hollywood Reporter notes that the XXX version deliberately takes exact dialogue and descriptions from the book in order to make it as authentic as possible:

"By lifting exact dialogue, characters, events, story, and style from the Fifty Shades trilogy, Smash Pictures ensured that the first XXX adaptation was, in fact, as close as possible to the original works," says the lawsuit.
