29 Very Instagrammable Rooms Are Coming To L.A.

Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your tax-deductible financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

The highly Instagrammable and popular 29Rooms exhibition is coming to Los Angeles later this year, following a short but successful run in NYC earlier this month.

The 29 installations that make up the interactive playground are the product of a collaboration between a few independent artists, Jake Gyllenhaal, the Womens March, and a slew of image-savvy brands. At the helm is Refinery29, who are the main brand behind this IRL spon-con experience.

We've reached out to the team behind the rooms to find out if L.A. will get exact recreations of the ones that were built in Brooklyn in September, and will update when we hear back. In the meantime, click through the photos to see those NYC rooms, which featured everything from a palm tree snowglobe to a giant typewriter with a Joan Didion quote.

The exhibit sold out way ahead of time in NYC, so scoop up your tickets soon (there are a number of options, with prices ranging from $19 to $85). The event will take place December 7th through 10th at The ROW in downtown L.A. (777 S Alameda Street).
