Because this isn't the first DUI arrest for "American Pie" actor Chris Klein, his latest set of charges could mean anywhere between three days and one year in jail.

Earlier this month, Klein was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence when he spotted weaving across three lanes of the 101 Freeway at Woodman Avenue in Sherman Oaks. He apparently tested three times over limit.

His arraignment will be on Monday where he will face two misdemeanor DUI charges.

And in case you're wondering, Thomas Kinkade, painter of Christ's love reborn 10 million times over in picturesque cottage form, pleaded not guilty to his recent DUI charges.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive from readers like you will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
