Jurors needed only 15 minutes on Thursday to decide that 29-year-old Agustin Rosendo Fernandez, who was accused of responding to a Craigslist ad and then killing the poster, was guilty of first degree murder, reports KTLA .Abdullah Alkadi, then a 23-year-old CSUN student, attempted to sell his Audi on Craigslist in September of 2014 . Fernandez responded to the ad as a prospective buyer, and the two arranged to meet outside Alkadi's home in Northridge. When they met, Fernandez demanded to have the car without payment. After the meeting, Alkadi disappeared, and was missing for a month before his body was found near the 10 Freeway in Palm Springs. Police say that he had been stabbed with a knife.

Fernandez faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. His is scheduled to be sentenced on August 12.

Of course, this isn't the first time that a Craigslist sale has gone awry. While other incidents aren't as severe as the Alkadi case, they're also not all that uncommon . Then again, sometimes it really is as bad as the Alkadi case. In October of 2012 , a man shot and killed three people in Downey after posing as a potential buyer for a Camaro listed on Craigslist.

These cases aren't just exclusive to Craigslist, either. Dating sites like Grindr have also led unsuspecting users into some dangerous scenarios.
