Warmer-than-normal temps still on tap but cooler than the heatwave

Today will be warmer than normal but at least we have left the heatwave. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for the coast.
Expect temperatures to reach the mid 70s at the beach to around 80 inland. Cities like downtown LA and Costa Mesa will be slightly warmer in the mid 80s and it will be slightly windy in the afternoon for coastal areas.
Inland we can expect highs in the 90s for San Gabriel valley and foothills. Temperatures for Orange County inland areas will reach the mid to upper 80s.

- 90 degrees in Pasadena
- 72 degrees in Redondo Beach
- 97 degrees in the city of San Bernardino
- 87 degrees in Fullerton
Excessive heat will continue for the low desert until 8 p.m. where high temperatures of 106 to 112 degrees expected.
Tonight's lows will drop to the 60s for most of the Southland expect for low 80s and upper 70s for the deserts.
