It will be cooler at the coast, with more dense fog covering coastal areas until 11 a.m. Near the beaches, the daytime highs will reach the 70s, more inland those coastal cities will see highs in the mid 80s, and up to 91 degrees in some areas like downtown L.A. Orange County inland areas will see highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Coachella Valley will face the brunt of this short heatwave, with a high of 113 degrees.
Some detailed forecasts for you:
- 99 degrees in Pasadena
- 91 degrees in Anaheim
- 107 degrees in the city of Santa Clarita
- 102 degrees in Fontana
In times of high heat, it's important to stay indoors, hydrated and cool. Make sure you know the difference between heat stroke vs. heat exhaustion.
Tonight's lows will provide some relief — down to the 70s for the warmest valleys, in the 60s closer to the coast. Desert lows will drop to the 80s.
