A slow warming trend starts today for the Southland with morning low clouds covering the skies for the next few days.
Coastal temperatures will be in the mid 70s today. Away from the coast, the daytime highs for the valleys will be in the mid 80s, up to low 90s in the San Fernando Valley and Inland Empire. Orange County inland areas will stay in the upper 70s.

- 71 degrees in Redondo Beach
- 77 degrees in Irvine
- 110 degrees in Coachella Valley
Tonight's lows will be in the upper 50s to low 60s from the coasts to the valleys, and in the 70s for the deserts.
An excessive heat warning kicks in tomorrow for Coachella Valley where a high of 112 degrees is expected.
