Jim Carrey's Ex Cathriona White Found Dead From Apparent Suicide
Jim Carrey's girlfriend Cathriona White has died of an apparent suicide at the age of 28, authorities say.
LAPD sources told TMZ that they found White dead in a Los Angeles home on Monday night after two of her friends discovered her body after going to check up on her. There were pills next to White's body, and authorities believe she died of an overdose. There was also a suicide note that referenced Carrey and White's breakup on September 24, sources say.
The pair had an on-again, off-again relationship. They first met in 2012 and dated for a short time before breaking up. Back in May, there were media reports that Carrey and White, an Irish makeup artist, rekindled their romance as they were spotted holding hands while taking a walk in New York.
White's last update on Twitter was on September 24, the same day as their break-up:
Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest. ✌🏼️❤️ to yo all— Cathriona white (@littleirishcat) September 24, 2015
The day before, she Instagrammed a photo with an excerpt from William Butler Yeats' play "The Land of Heart's Desire":
