Body Found In L.A. Riverbed Near Los Feliz
A body was found in the dry riverbed of the L.A. River on Tuesday at around 12:45 p.m. No information is yet available about the age, gender, or the cause of death of the individual in question. The body was found near the 3200 block of Hyperion Avenue by the Glendale-Hyperion Bridge, on the edge of Los Feliz/Atwater Village.
"The deceased is in the channel of the L.A. River," Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Brian Humphrey told LAist. "How they ended up there is not known to us."
An LAPD spokesperson told LAist that police were currently on the scene, but did not yet have any further information.
