Body Found On Bighorn Overlook Trail In Rancho Mirage
Police are investigating a body found Sunday on the Bighorn Overlook Trail near Rancho Mirage City Hall, MyDesert.com reports.
A hiker discovered the body around 10 a.m. Sunday, Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Morales said.
The cause of death is still unknown. Morales called it an "unattended death," meaning there were no witnesses. He said that it did not seem suspicious at this point.
The trail is about a quarter-mile long and has several switchbacks, according to MyDesert.com. It's graded at moderate-to-steep.
