Looks like Antonio Villaraigosa has a new leading lady in his life—a 31-year-old New Yorker who's half his age.

The 61-year-old former L.A. Mayor has been in a "serious" relationship for several months with Kim Honig, a sales director at a financial software company in Manhattan, a source tells L.A. Weekly. He's been spending a good deal of time in New York with Honig lately and they were photographed together at a benefit on the East Coast last August.

According to Honig's LinkedIn profile, the Boston native has a business degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and enjoys tennis and skiing.

Villaraigosa, who's been keeping himself busy these days with consulting for businesses and teaching at USC, has dated a string of ladies over the past few years ever since his infamous affair with Telemundo anchor Mirthala Salinas while he was still married to his wife at the time, Corina Villaraigosa. (The two had been married for 20 years and filed for divorce in 2007 not too long after his affair with Salinas, who was 35 at the time, became public.) The former Mayor then moved onto to a 3-year-relationship that ended in 2012 with Lu Parker, who was 38 when the two started their coupling back in 2009.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
