Porn Production Shuts Down For Third Time This Year After Another Performer Tests HIV Positive

For the third time this year, porn production has been shut down after a performer tested positive for HIV.
Free Speech Coalition, the trade group for the industry, released a statement today confirming that a performer had tested positive through the industry testing system. The group's CEO Diane Duke said in a statement that they would be working to perform more tests on the performer's partners and figure out whether anyone else in the industry has been exposed:
"There was a positive test at one of our testing centers. We are taking every precaution while we do research to determine if there’s been any threat to the performer pool. We take the health of our performers very seriously and felt that it was better to err on the side of caution while we determine whether anyone else may have been exposed."
Cameron Bay and her boyfriend (and fellow porn actor) Rod Daily also tested positive earlier this year. Bay's positive test shut down production, and she gave a press conference later talking about a particularly risky day on the job. The last shutdown happened when another performertested positive in September. We're sure that we'll soon be hearing from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which has been a vocal supporter of condoms in porn.
