3 Dead, 2 Injured in Eagle Rock Street Racing Crash
An 11:00 p.m. street race on Colorado Blvd. (b/w Eagle Rock Blvd & Townsend Ave.) in Eagle Rock claimed the lives of three people last night. Included in the dead are a pregnant woman who was driving, a teenage girl in the back seat and a man who was ejected onto the street. News reports to not clearly indicate if they were involved in the race or not. Two others were transported to the hospital in "grave condition." The driver of another car involved in the accident, who was street racing, was arrested on the scene. The cars must have been going at a "high rate of speed," d'Lisa Davies said at the LA Fire Department to LAist when the crash first happened as details were just coming out. "It's pretty mangled too," she said of the car wrapped around the tree. A third car that fled the scene is suspected to be involved in the crash as well.
